Roan Garcia-Quintana, Again…

April 17, 2010

Sometime Friday night we received a call from our friend Christina Jeffrey and she relayed the following to us.  What strikes us is how calm she was regarding the whole matter, because we would have been thinking some heavy, evil wrath type of vindication 🙂  Anyway this is about as un-American and not at all freedom loving to say the least, but we defer to your opinion.  ~ SCHotline

From Christina to her fellow Patriots:

The fiasco last evening must be answered.

Roan Garcia-Quintana, RCG is trying to play king-maker. He is running the show.

With all of his might, he is trying to prevent the voters of our district from

exposure to ALL of the challengers to Congressman Inglis in favor of his

chosen one.  Interestingly, his chosen one is also Bob Inglis’ chosen one. Inglis

promotes “businessman” Jim Lee as a conservative in this race for all the right

reasons.”  Translation: to split the conservative vote.

Please do not be fooled!

His apparent agent, RGC, is trying to manipulate the voters and the campaign.

You can be sure I am seeking legal redress against those who prevented me from attending the meeting. They may claim it was a private party (the Democrats

claimed the same when they sought to prevent Black Americans from voting),

but it was a political meeting.

He has engaged in the grossest back room dealings. In attempting to prevent all the candidates from receiving the same exposure, he may very well succeed. Whenever

more than one candidate is appearing anywhere, all candidates have the

right to show up.

Bill of Particulars:

  • As a political consultant, Roan’s coalition position is a conflict of interest.
  • Roan has been manipulating the coalition within weeks of its formation.
  • Roan has been acting like a dictator that owns the coalition.
  • Roan has physically threatened at least three people.
  • Roan has engaged in unwarranted criticisms of numerous conservatives in public and in private meetings of the coalition.
  • Even though the coalition does not endorse candidates, Roan has taken it upon himself to slander and black ball candidates from coalition activities.
  • Roan has been working against certain Tea Party Candidates.
  • On Thursday night, Roan told members of the Coalition that Christina Jeffrey would not be permitted to attend the Tea Party dinner even if she had a ticket; if she tried, he said he would have her forcibly removed.
  • Roan then has lied on public radio, stating that he did not sell dinner tickets to Christina because they were sold out.

This bill of particulars comes from an Upstate Coalition activist who is disturbed by Roan’s hijacking of the coalition and the Tea Party/9-12 movement.

There were around 15 empty seats set up for dinners on Friday night. I went to the dinner and Roan had security escort me out. Being excluded from the dinner was not terribly important in and of itself, but exposing Roan’s activities and agenda with the Coalition is very important.

Roan Garcia, political activist or political bully?

It is beyond us to understand where the party is in this situation. Let us send this ponytail liberal freak packing. RGC find another place to wear your mens warehouse suits portending to be a conservative. You are nothing more than a pot smoking paid political hack and quite frankly like Gowdy not a very attractive and or effective one.

I don’t know what all this is about, but just to hear there is a function where candidates are represented, congregating, fellowshipping or talking with citizens and to hear that one or more were not able to attend because there wasn’t a ticket available? Unless this was a first come first served function for a PTA or fund raising event, all candidates not only should have had tickets set side for them, but they should have been called so that there was no doubt they knew about it and had the opportunity to be a part. This is the kind of stuff that turns me off towards candidates. In the South it’s call courtesy and we have lost our “Ladies and Gentlemen” status falling into the world of cut throats. Guess what? We don’t need cut throats in office anymore.

When I got there was a lady officer and there were two county officers and a mechanic leaning up against one of the cars. I went into the Cigar Room. Roan sent her to follow me to the room. I orderd a drink but she and Roan kept talking amd pointing back toward me and Justin Alexander who had joined me. Then my husband Chris joined us. She came in again with another officer. They stood in the lobby the entire time we were there – about an hour.

Two of the guys who were paling around with Roan at entrance of the hotel proceeded to follow me out of the hotel, got in their personal vehicles-a white tacoma truck and a silver or tan colored car. They were honking and trying to intimidate me. I got to the Waffle House, and motioned to them. As I was going across the bridge, the car tried to run me off the road. So I pulled over to the center lane to pull over like I wanted to talk to them. They passed me and turned around to go back toward the Marriot. I believe the owner of the truck was harassing me yesterday.

these bully style tactics have no place in American politics…they are similar to what takes place in a third world Cuban dictatorship…

My wife and I went to the Marriott on Fri to witness 4 police cars and to hear about Christina being forcibly removed from the event. We decided to go to the lounge area (vs. spending $100 on tickets) where we witnessed Roan sending over a police lady in an attempt to have us also removed, for which their was absolutely no basis. However, when my wife decided to leave she was followed by a couple of thugs who attempted to run her off the road on Pelham rd ! — one was in a white Toyota 4X4 crew cab Tundra with chrome rails (police are investigation the matter please email me at if you have information on the owner of this vehicle) — Not sure if they where sent on orders from Roan to harass a female by herself (how cowardly!) but they where definitely part of the event.

I was at the Mauldin council meeting when they had the two dollar trash bag fiasco. It was a packed house and Mauldin citizen’s were itching to voice their complaints. The council set the rules regarding the question and answer period. The Mauldin residents were to speak first and then non residents could ask their questions. Roan Garcia could not nor would he follow the rules, for he thinks the rules do not apply to him. He jumped in with his usual speech how he is for the people and freedom blah, blah, blah and he has fought the illegals from coming across our borders (news flash they’re still coming in record numbers) how he was the one who filled up the room with all these fire eating mad people. Excuse me but I brought myself without any help from Roan Garcia. We were forced to listen to his cuban story again (I believe I know it by heart by now, he repeats it every time he gets in front of a mike) From my observation and I could be wrong, he uses Chicage Tactics___Cuban style

I have friends on every side of this. I hope no one reads more into my comments than they say. I’m not commenting on any bigger issues or attacking anyone. In full disclosure, I’m a Jim Lee supporter, but I don’t work for any campaign in capacity.

I was at the dinner that Dr. Jeffrey refers to, except for about an hour when I was chatting with Chris Lawton and his wife (I was getting bored by the musical entertainment, it was good, but not my cup of tea). This was not, as Dr. Jeffrey says, a political meeting.

Roan opened the dinner briefly, telling us that Congressman Tancredo was delayed in Chicago. He recognized a state house member in attendance, Bill Connor, and Curtis Loftis. This was the only acknowledgment I heard given about anyone running for office. Rev. Stan Craig prayed. We started eating. About 7:30 Ms. Weeks (I don’t remember her first name) introduce Tom DeWeiss, who spoke about property rights and Agenda 21. After he spoke, there was gospel / country music and singing. I listened for a little while, went to the restroom, and saw Chris Lawton and his wife. I had a drink and talked to them for about an hour. Chris’ wife left about 10 minutes before I went back in the banquet room.

It was now 10:30 or so. Congressman Tancredo was now there, and there were only about 12 of us left. He told us stories about hunting while he picked at a cheeseburger.

I say all of that to say, it wasn’t a “political meeting”. It wasn’t a campaign event. It truly was a private party. People have the right to get together and have a paying dinner ($50.00 each) with a former Congressman. To claim that a candidate has a right to come to a dinner someone else organizes and arranges the speaker for is an odd notion. If you have a right come to a privately organized event in a private location, that means that you or I don’t have a right to hold such an event and decide who will attend, and I’m sure that’s a position none of us would take.

    On a (mostly) different note:

I hated to read of Chris’ ouster from the Coalition. I have no doubt that he will continue his work in the Constitutional movement elsewhere.

I’m not a “big tent” inclusivist Republican, but if we Constitutionalists can’t find a way to respectfully disagree and support different candidates without tearing at each other, if failing to walk lock step with a particular strand of conservatism gets you branded a one world order infiltrator, if we can’t organize without fracturing here in the Upstate of all places, then our movement may have passed its finest hour. I pray that that’s not the case.

And yes, that means you and me, too.

    To Justin Alexander,

If it was a private event why did Roan say that it was sold out? Why not just say out loud and to everyone listening on the radio that it was a private event and that she was not invited? Why lie? AND WHY DOES HE NOT WANT HER THERE?

I was a Jim Lee supporter but I don’t support thugs or people who associate with them. Jim Lee might as well be a hired thug and the owner of the white truck.

Why did he not want her there? I don’t think that someone has to justify who they invite to a private event. I can’t speak for Roan, but I’m guessing he would not want a repeat of when she invited herself to speak at the Coalition meeting with Karen Floyd
