Our State Budget and Control Board defaulted to Big Government as soon as Thomas stepped down as Treasurer. He is a true fiscal conservative.

I think Thomas has certainly paid his dues and just might be the “New Blood” the Republican party needs. I agree with the last post. The war on drugs is a waste of taxpayer dollars, from law enforcement to housing the inmates. Just as a gun ban won’t stop criminals from obtaining weapons, the prohibition approach to drug addiction is not the solution. I hope he will pursue a position that will breathe fresh, fiscally conservative values, and common sense back into our society.

Would LOVE to see TR back to lead conservative cause again. He took it all like a man and has done all the right things since. Many of us need 2nd chances in life.

    I’m all for it, however:
-I believe Thomas now considers himself a Libertarian and
    -Doesn’t he live in NYC?

    The Facts said it right:

“Let’s end this stupid ass war on drugs”, except not only is it stupid, it’s a huge waste of tax dollars!

Signed, a Christian who has no intention of ever taking illegal drugs.

I supported TR in his run for State Treasurer. Some of my friends reminded me of that when TR had his legal problems, but I’ve always felt that TR was looking out for the best interests of SC even though he had personal faults.

After all, we all have our faults. If I could get away with it, I’d go fishing every day & never work!

The detractors will be hard-pressed to find PROFESSIONAL FAULTS in TR’s past.

I forgive you for messing up my vote for you but glad you paid the price for your faults. I would certainly vote for you again, even though you would be put through hell from the left. I say GO FOR IT!
    You can win!
