“Demint, not Democrats, cares about our children”

This Professional Ad Man Knows The Importance of Burnishing His Brand?” (Brad Hutto writing about Senator Demint)

Don’t you just love it when a local legislator begins demeaning the profession of someone who has succeeded in the business community?  Is marketing somehow beneath defending DUIs and other such worthwhile endeavors  of trial lawyers?  This “Professional Ad Man”, Jim Demint, is one of the most popular and courageous United States Senators in the history of South Carolina, yet has now become the target of the Barak Obama and the national Democratic Party.  Think about it, Brad Hutto and Gilda Cobb Hunter both “coincidentally” write two negative attack pieces about Senator Demint within days of the massive spending bill?  They are clearly taking orders from the national Democratic Leadership to get Senator Demint out of office.  All because Senator Demint stood up for our children and grandchildren against the monstrosity of a so-called “stimulus” package.

Why did Senator Demint oppose this bill despite the backlash he was bound to receive from the “attack machine” in the Democratic Party?  This bill is terrible for America and is the equivalent of throwing gasoline on a fire.  Let me quote a bit of internet satire which captures the true essence of this ridiculous bill:

“This year, taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus Payment. This is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q and A format:
Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.
Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers.
Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. Only a smidgen.”

For most South Carolinians who pay taxes, the internet joke is the Democratic party’s joke on their families.  To give one example of the efficient use of this Trillion Dollars of generational debt crammed down Congress’ throat by the Democratic leadership (Given to individual Congressmen in over 1000 pages within hours before the vote.  Most never had the time to read it):  tens of millions of our nation’s taxpayer dollars are going to the San Francisco Bay area to help maintain a sub-species of a mouse.  I know, Gilda Cobb Hunter will likely write another letter hammering Senator Demint about his lack of support for this program.  “As a woman, legislator, social worker, etc. etc.” Rep. Hunter will say Senator DeMint cares nothing about the little animals in America by his lack of support for a little, harmless mouse!!!  Much of this bill is about pet projects for Democratic Leaders like San Francisco resident and Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi.  It is also about driving Liberal social policy, as religious groups are the only organizations barred from receiving the benefits of our tax money in this bill.

Brad Hutto can lampoon the idea of tax cuts to stimulate the economy, but they have been proven to work.  Jobs are lost in the private sector whenever taxes are raised.  It is logical and historically proven.  If a corporation has a net loss of a certain amount of money due to taxes, it must find a way to cut excess expenditures.  If that small business has more money due to tax cuts, it will have the ability to hire more workers.  This was how Ronald Regan took our nation from the recessionary and inflationary “dark years” of Jimmy Carter.  He lowered the top income tax amount from 70% down to under 30% and lowered taxes for all Americans.  The economy boomed.

What does a spending bill accomplish?  Less jobs are actually created because the money is spent less productive and efficient projects and the taxes cause job loss in business.  Saving mice in San Francisco may bring a few government jobs to the area, but that money could have been spent elsewhere.  Additionally, for every dollar taxed, whether by our generation or our children’s generation, much will be lost in the massive government system before reaching the person taking care of San Francisco mice.

Last point.  Barak Obama’s first primary decision was to allow taxpayer money to fund abortions overseas.  Then, this administration decided to saddle our children and grandchildren with debt they don’t deserve.  Our generation should be responsible for the spending of the past few decades, as painful as that might be.  I do not want to look at my grandchildren 30 years from now and have to tell them:  “well, I had mine, too bad for you to have been born in the wrong generation and must pay for mine!”   Who doesn’t care about children??

Jim Demint is a very couragous and honorable man.
He is helping turn the confused and misguided
Republicans around. Thank the Lord. Susan
