JW Ragley will be new Executive Director of the State GOP

November 30, 2007

We have learned that Jay W. Ragley will be appointed the new Executive Director of the South Carolina GOP. The move will be made official at the State Executive Committee meeting on Saturday. Jay W. Ragley was the executive director for the state NFIB. That job is currently posted on Monster.com.

fjones-3a.gifRagley was the former political director of the state Republican party.

Hogan Gidley, the current executive director, must be moving on to bigger opportunities.

We in Horry County will miss Hogan. He has done a great job of handling the day to day job of running the GOP in South Carolina. While we wish Hogan well, J.W. will excell in animating the Republicsn troops and in complementing the work of Katon Dawson in keeping South Carolina’s place as #1 Republican state in the South. Good luck Hogan and J.W.!

Update: Hogan is focusing on making sure that the GOP Presidential Debate in Myrtle Beach is beyond fabulous and managing the Presidential Preference Primary while Jay W. will keep all the trains running at SC GOP headquarters. It is fabulous to have such an exceptional team of professionals working to ensure that the “First in the South” presidential primary is top drawer!

Props to Sunny Phillips for keeping both of the guys funded!

Congratualtions to the new ED for the Republican Party. I hope this new ED will launch efforts to include more African American into the party and see the value of developing an effort to do so.
