Close of filing brings some surprises Brian Haskins files

Yes you read the headline right Brian Haskins has filed for County Council against Dr. Bob Taylor. As you may know Wendy Nanney is running against Gloria Haskins. Wendy is the daughter to Dr. Bob Taylor.
We also have confirmed that NO REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT has filed against Rep. Philip Shoopman and Dan Hamilton.
Also for the first time in 120 years the Greenville County Republican party has a FULL slate of candidates running in EVERY race.
In Spartanburg no Republicans or Democrats filed today. So this leaves Rita Allison with no oppostion from either the Democrats or the Republicans.

Suprising she didn’t have David run against Tim Nanney for Register of Deeds. Can anyone say vindictive? I’m embarressed for her. Certainly not the legacy of Terry Haskins.

Donny, have you considered the possibility that this is Brian standing up for his mom as opposed to his mom forcing him to run? He’s a big boy.

What is Brian’s occupation nowadays? It may just be rumor, but I read on one of the state political blogs that he was “fired” for incompetence by the McCain campaign last summer.

Well, John, I did consider the possibility, then I remembered Gloria made the threat that should would have peeople run against Tim and Bob. Plus, I could think of better ways to “stand up” for my mother than to run against her political oppenents’ family.

I can think of better ways to “stand up” as well. What is best vs. what is Brian’s motivation are two different issues all together, the latter of which I did not think we were discussing. You seem to have a very low view of Gloria and may be confusing correlation with causation. But, then again, I clearly don’t know her as well as you.
