  1. BREAKING: Sanford to endorse Giuliani? » The Palmetto Scoop Says:

[...] UPDATE: SCHotline says they have spoken with Giuliani’s people who denied the rumors. [...]

  2. Bret Sullivan Says:

Wow, big blow for Rudy. Sanford just slapped him in the face.

  3. JackB Says:

Why Sanford would endorse a pseudo-republican is beyond me. The bible belt is not going to fall in line with Rudy the liberal dressed in a Republicans clothing.

  4. Charleston Voice Says:

Sanford will follow instructions he’s given by the GOP leadership.

  5. Timothy Moultrie Says:

If the Governor wants to be part of history and not merely be a footnote, his endorsement should lie with Ron Paul.

  6. Jack Hunter Says:

I second Tim Moultrie. Sanford of all people should endorse Ron Paul, as a Governor who has always marched to his own drum - and is closer to Paul fiscally than ANY of the other GOP candidates. Especially a Northeastern liberal like Rudy Giuliani.

I was really dissapointed when I heard Sanford might be endorsing Giulani. I’m glad to find out, for the time being, it’s not true.

Governor Sanford sees Eye to Eye with Ron Paul on the Constitution. Ron said so. Governor Sanford told me that Ron Paul would be the only person he would consider being on the ticket with, as a running mate. (paraphrased)That sounds like an endorsement to me. He hasn’t said so publically, but I really believe that he is aware of what’s at stake. Ron stated in Greenville that Gov. Sanford is a principaled man and would be high on the list for good material as a running mate. (paraphrased) That would make an excellent ticket.
Does that make the governor part of a rabid gaggle? That is what the writer called the Ron Paul supporters at the Family Council Straw Poll.
